The comprehensive college application mentorship plan through Grades IX-XII is thoughtfully designed to empower and guide students to get into their dream colleges. The twice-a-month check-ins provide consistent feedback and support so that students stay on track. Building a strong base needs early planning and involves an entire gamut of activities. I have mentored most of my students through this route, hand holding them until they come through with flying colours. Every student is unique and every plan is tailor-made for his requirement.

It is never too late to start. A year is a good time to make up for the gaps,and proceed full steam ahead. There will be twice-a-month check-ins, active counselling and mentoring, extra-curricular build-ups, internship advice, and building other skills, seeing you through the essay writing and admission process, and eventually getting you where you want to be.

The essay is a reflection of who are are. And you have to set your self apart from the others. It is easy to detect a ChatGPT prompted essay, and it will be ground for immediate rejection. We may have to go through multiple drafts. And I can help create the essay that will fit the college prompt. The point to note is that every college admission will have its own set of online eligibility prompts, competency mapping and tailor-made essay requirement.

There are many colleges to apply to. Which ones should you select? I have built personal and professional relationships with up to 350 universities across the world. These are carefully nurtured relationships. I keep a two-way conversation going with them: while they want to understand the Indian market better, I too am kept informed of the latest academic developments/changes and funding possibilities for my students Upon deciding on your requirement, I may suggest a few university representatives that I can help you network with.

Many top colleges will ask for an interview with the student. And preparing for the interview is a complex process. Possible questions and the best answers to them, mock interviews, a real time feedback loop to help you answer better, psychological strengthening, inner well-being and confidence building… are all part of this process. I can do focused sessions to prep you up.

The final college selection process is a critical one. If you have a choice of colleges, you have to look at funding availability and the scholarship element. If not, the academic course is of utmost importance. Which one, for example, provides a better career fit? Then comes parameters like teacher-student ratios and accommodations. Are you entitled to a hostel or do you have to live outside the campus in rented accommodation? Cultural attenuation, food preferences and location are extremely important: Is a rural, isolated location a better fit than a university in close proximity to a city? Many, for example, will choose Columbia University or New York University over other equally good or even better universities elsewhere in the US, because they are right in Manhattan, in New York City. You learn as much from living in the greatest city in the world as you would from the two great universities the city is host to.
